The Nashua was founded in 1700. The river was full of paper, shoes, and textile .By 196 the Nashua was one of the most grossly polluted river in the nation. The main Idea was that the Nashua river was polluted by sellers.
The main idea is the river had all this stuff that made it look like throwup water.So they made a law to not pollute the river.
I think the main idea of this story is that it teaches you what happens when you pollute the earth. Or rivers or whatever! But I think that the main idea really is just to tell you to not pollute and how to take care of our environment.
The main idea is that the other people polluted the water and they made law to not pullet the river
