Our new read aloud book is Hatchet by Gary Paulsen. We have only read the first chapter but I am already on the edge of my seat. Tell me what you know about the story already. Think about the characters, and the setting. Then tell me your predictions for what is going to happen in the story.

I think it is a really good book so far and the setting takes place in the countryside on a bushplane over a forest. The main character is Brian. MY prediction is that the plane will crash in the forest.
I think that Brian is gana crash the plane because the pilot sufferd a heart attack and he might run out of gas.
Brian traveled from New York to Canada but during the flight the pilot got a heart attack. Setting: Woods. Characters: Brian. Prediction: I think Brian will Survive with a hatchet and I have a question what happened to the emergence backpack?
I think that Hatchet is a exciting book. So far I know Brain, the pilot Jim, Jake or somthing, and his Mom.
I know that the pilot died.I think that the main character is Brian and the setting takes place in the plane and since the pilot showed Brian and the pilot died I think that Brian is going to take over the pilot seat. I wonder if Brian knows all the bottons of which one to press.

Some things that I know about the story is that Brian's parents are divorced. When he is going to visit he dad, the pilot suffers a heart attack. Now, Brian is the only passenger on the plane and is in big trouble. Some of the characters I know right now are: Brian, the pilot, Brian's mom, and his dad. The setting so far takes place on the plane. Some predictions I have are: That Brian will be lost somewhere and will have to live alone. Maybe he will find some shelter and somebody to help him. I wonder how he will land the plane? Maybe he will press all the buttons until he finds the right one. I also wonder if Brian will make it to his father's house alright?
I now that his mom gave him sa hatchet to carry around in the woods with his dad.
In the story I already know that a boy is in a plane with a pilot having a heart attack and all he has is a hatchet. The setting takes place in the or over the forest and they are trying to go to California and my prediction is that the boy is going to fall out of the plane and have no idea what just happened.

My prediction is that Brain and the dead pilot are going to crash land in the Great wilderness.
