In Social Studies, we have started to study explorers of North America. Please tell me who your groups explorer is, and what information you have learned so far. I would also like you to use the internet as a resource to learn one new fact about your explorer.

My explorer is Cartier Jeqeaz he was an explorer that found new found land. He wanted to go to Asia but instead he found Part of America.
My groups explorer is Jacques cartier. Two facts i have learned about him are he found America. Another fact is he traded things for spices and beads. One fact I learned from the internet is he went on another expedition to find more land.
My group explorer John cabot, I learned that John Cabot whent the wrong way and he whent to Canada, and as he was going to canada he was fishing.

My explorer's name is John Cabot. He was looking for a cheaper route for merchants to get to China's goods. When merchants went to China, they passed through Turkey and the Turkish people made the merchants pay high taxes to pass through their land. That is why he went sailing. When he was sailing, he ended up in Canada instead of China. Cabot wanted to keep sailing but the crew was running out of food. He returned to England and King Henry the 7th sent him on another adventure. This time he took 3 boats with him. When they were sailing, one of the boats got damaged and returned to England. The other two boats were never heard from again. Cabot was on one of these two boats.
My gruop explorer is sir francis drake a fact that I learned about him was that he wanted all the money.
My group explorer is Cortes and Cortes got arrested by Velasquez and Cortes and his crew had a battle with azztecs and cortes crew won the battle
